Our traditional pantomime. Will the evil fairy, Malificent, be able to blight the life of Princess Aurora? A gripping tale of romance, comedy, and good versus evil, with lots of music, dancing, some unexpected twists in the story, and lots and lots of audience participation.

Produced by Gerry Graham Pantos, who have given us such popular shows over the last few years.

Book Club

Date: January 17, 2019

Time: 7.30 till about 8.30pm

Location: Committee Room

We rated the last book, City of Women,  as perhaps 6/10: not one you would enthusiastically recommend!

We have now moved on to read ‘The Twins’, by Saskia Sarginson. Isolte and Viola are twins. Inseparable as children, they have grown up into very different adults. Isolte is a successful writer for a fashion magazine, while Viola is unhappy and struggling with an eating disorder. What happened years ago to set the twins on such different paths?

A stunning debut from a remarkable new talent, or so the blurb on the book says!

We will meet again on Thursday 17th to discuss the book: come along if you are interested

The Neil Maya Quartet present a special tribute to one of the most iconic jazz groups of the 20th century.

For many people the sound of Dave Brubeck’s ‘Take 5’ is the sound of jazz. The aclaimed American pianist and composer who died just a few years ago did more than perhaps anyone else to bring jazz into the popular mainstream. Now Totnes based musician Neil Maya has put together a group of the finest musicians in the South West to authentically reproduce some of the best known Dave Brubeck pieces.

‘Tight, cohesive and entertaining – a class act.’ Pete Shearn, The Barrel House, Totnes
